Eric Chatman

Housing Partnership Network (HPN), an award-winning collaborative of 100 of the nation’s leading affordable housing and community development nonprofits, is pleased to announce that Eric Chatman has joined the company as its Chief Financial Officer and a member of its Executive Leadership Team. As CFO, Chatman will lead the financial strategy for HPN and its various social enterprises

Prior to joining HPN, Mr. Chatman led an independent consulting business for housing finance organizations, and served as President and Executive Director of Connecticut Housing Finance Authority. Past appointments also include roles as Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Director of Iowa Finance Authority and Treasurer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines. Throughout his career Mr. Chatman has achieved proven success in the areas of corporate finance, treasury, capital markets, housing finance, and general management in the private, and quasi-public sectors.

“During my time working with housing finance agencies, I’ve been able to develop a real appreciation of a decent, affordable home as a key factor for an individual and family’s success.” Chatman said. “I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute to HPN’s social enterprise model, using private partnerships and market solutions to address community development and housing constituents across the country.”

Mr. Chatman earned his Bachelor’s degree in economics from Tufts University. He also holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from the Elliott School at George Washington University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
