BOSTON, MA – Nov. 4, 2024 – Housing Partnership Network (HPN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Carla Mannings in the dual role of Vice President of Lending and Investment and President of the organization’s CDFI lending enterprises, effective Nov. 12, 2024. In this pivotal role, Carla will oversee critical lending and investment strategies for the network’s membership of over 100 leading affordable housing organizations across the U.S.

Carla joins HPN with an impressive background in community development financial institutions (CDFIs), most recently serving as Chief Investment and Impact Officer at Partners for the Common Good where she worked at the forefront of resource cultivation, business development, impact measurement, and management, program initiatives, marketing, and racial equity. Her extensive career spans over two decades in commercial banking, strategic lending, and mission-driven community development.

HPN’s Housing Partnership Fund is an Aeris-rated CDFI created in 2001 at HPN’s lending arm to meet member organization’s growing needs for flexible, early-stage financing for affordable housing development. HPF manages over $200 million in loans to HPN members for the development, preservation, and operation of affordable housing.

Throughout her career, Carla has demonstrated exceptional leadership in unlocking capital for equitable lending and investment underwriting. Her professional journey includes significant roles at prominent institutions such as Community Housing Capital, NeighborWorks America, Wells Fargo, Silverton Bank, Amalgamated Bank, and City First Bank. Carla has been a key contributor to national boards, including Opportunity Finance Network and the National Disability CDFI Coalition. Her community involvement is extensive, with board positions including NeighborGood Partners, Platform of Hope, and the Women of Color in Community Development. She is a graduate of Howard University and holds an MBA from Brenau University.
