Patricia Belden

Patricia Belden is President of POAH Communities. She has been part of the POAH organization since its founding in 2001, rising from project manager to managing director and chief operating officer. Over the years she has played a lead role in the acquisition, preservation and creation of nearly 8,500 affordable housing units nationally. She oversaw strategic development and implementation of the Choice Neighborhood Initiative grant, a revitalization centered on the redevelopment of five city blocks in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood near the University of Chicago. Patricia possesses a broad knowledge of complex deal structuring and layered finance and has employed most of the available federal, state, local, private and tax credit equity funding programs to preserve at-risk affordable housing. Prior to joining POAH, she worked at Boston Financial Group and MassHousing.
