Mark Vernon

Mark Vernon joined HPN Select as its President in August 2016. Recognized as a leader in the industry, Vernon comes to HPN Select with extensive experience in the operations and management of multi-family residential properties, including procurement and purchasing, revenue and expense management, and the oversight and implementation of strategic plans for significant portfolios of real estate assets. Most recently, Vernon served as Vice President Ancillary Services at Bell Partners Inc. in Greensboro NC. He was with Bell for more than ten years and, prior to that, held positions at Gables Residential, Pinnacle Realty, and AIMCO. Vernon has served on the Atlanta Apartment Association as both the co-chair for the Atlanta Food Drive and as chair of the Ethics committee. He presents as both a panelist and subject matter expert at various industry conferences on topics such as ancillary income opportunities and smart home technology. His volunteer activities included Night Manager for the Elizabeth Inn Homeless Shelter, rebuilding tornado damaged areas in the Southeast through Samaritan’s Purse and home repairs for the elderly through Never Alone. Vernon is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) with the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and is a member of the Institute for Supply Management (ISM). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Francis Marion University and studied for a Masters Degree at Emory University.
