Kelly Read
Kelly Read joined HPN in October 2021. As Senior Policy Associate, Kelly works on federal and state policy priorities and assists the policy team with various projects for members. Kelly is with the rest of the policy team based in HPN’s Washington D.C. office.
Prior to joining HPN, Kelly held various internship roles with members of Congress where she learned the federal legislative process and worked to advance different research initiatives for staffers. Kelly has also previously worked on the local level with McHenry County and the City of Woodstock to learn about community development needs and increase her understanding of local priorities. Outside the realm of government, Kelly was the Assistant Producer for the Delaware Debates and a co-author of a pilot program to increase civic engagement among people with disabilities.
Kelly holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Delaware in Political Science and Public Policy.
