About REACH Community Development, Inc.
REACH Community Development creates opportunities for all people to thrive by developing and promoting access to quality, affordable homes, supportive services, and community.
Founded in 1982, REACH has grown from revitalizing single-family homes and small multifamily properties in Southeast Portland into one of the Pacific Northwest's leading nonprofit affordable housing organizations. Today, REACH owns and stewards more than 2,700 affordable homes across the Portland metropolitan region and Southwest Washington, serving more than 3,300 residents.
REACH develops, preserves, and provides long-term asset management for affordable housing that serves families, seniors, individuals, and people with disabilities, while providing resident services that promote housing stability, economic opportunity, and community well-being. In addition to affordable rental housing, REACH expands pathways to homeownership through its REACH for Homeownership program and supports homeowners through its volunteer-powered Community Builders program, which provides critical home repairs and accessibility improvements for low-income seniors and homeowners with disabilities.
For more than four decades, REACH has partnered with public agencies, private investors, community organizations, and residents to create vibrant, inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
