About NYC Housing Partnership
The NYC Housing Partnership, a 35-year-old affordable housing agency, serves the five boroughs of New York City. Its mission is to create and preserve affordable housing and revitalize neighborhoods through community development promoted by dynamic public and private partnerships. The Housing Partnership has been the main intermediary to help negotiate the complex array of applications and regulations required for affordable housing construction and renovation, and secure public subsidies to leverage private sector financing for housing targeted to low- to moderate-income households in New York City and elsewhere. These efforts have resulted in the development of more than 60,000 affordable homeownership and rental units and the leveraging of more than $6 billion in private sector financing for affordable housing development and support services. In recent years, the Housing Partnership has expanded its work to neighboring New Jersey and upstate New York. The Community Partnership Development Corporation, a certified CDFI and non-profit affiliate of the Partnership, continues to support the financing needs of developers of affordable housing. The Housing Partnership also serves as an administering agent for inclusionary housing in New York City. Responsibilities include marketing the affordable units in compliance with eligibility requirements and annual compliance reporting.
