About Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership

Established in 1988, the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership (INHP) is the leading homeownership resource in Marion County whose mission is to increase affordable and sustainable housing opportunities for individuals and families and serve as a catalyst for neighborhood revitalization. Our layered approach allows INHP to create homeownership and neighborhood revitalization through leading programming and collaborating with other civic and neighborhood initiatives to create meaningful homeownership opportunities for low- and moderate-income people in the places they choose to live. INHP offers US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) certified pre-purchase homeownership education and financial and mortgage advising as well as a variety of affordable mortgage and home repair loan options. INHP's comprehensive homeowner and homebuyer services are designed to create and support homeowners who can sustain their investment in their homes-ultimately helping to strengthen and encourage the growth of vibrant Indianapolis neighborhoods. As a trusted nonprofit and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), INHP partners with local, state and federal government agencies, community organizations, civic groups, banks and lending institutions and corporations to achieve its mission. Since 1988, over 42,000 individuals have been impacted through one of INHP’s homebuyer preparation programs, and, in partnership, with the community, has financed over $678 million in mortgages for individuals and families with low and moderate incomes. In addition, INHP has impacted nearly 3,000 affordable housing units in Indianapolis through development, land banking, community lending, and intermediary grant making. INHP’s impact is reflected in our diverse client base and strong history of lending in underserved communities.
