About Housing Channel
Housing Channel (formerly Tarrant County Housing Partnership) is located in the city of Fort Worth, in Tarrant County, Texas and is a certified 501c(3) housing non-profit organization with CHDO (Community Housing Development Organization) status to address critical revitalization needs in targeted areas of the cities of Fort Worth and Arlington and throughout North Texas. The mission of Housing Channel is to revitalize distressed neighborhoods and to increase the amount of quality, affordable housing available to low and moderate income families and individuals with special housing needs. Since inception in 1991, Housing Channel has dramatically increased the availability of affordable housing to low-income families, producing more than 3,600 housing units generating approximately $4.7 Billion for the economic development of Tarrant County. Housing Channel operates under an integrated approach, maximizing resources to offer a variety of programs in an effort to meet the changing needs of low-to-moderate income families in all stages of homeownership. Current programs offered by Housing Channel include housing, credit and foreclosure prevention counseling by HUD-certified and bilingual counselors; affordable multi-family rental units; single family acquisition, rehabilitation & resale; single family new construction; and down payment & closing cost assistance for first-time homebuyers.
