Eden Housing is a non-profit leader in the provision of high-quality affordable housing in California. What began in 1968 as an experiment by a group of committed volunteers is now a proven solution to the state's critical need for affordable homes for working families, seniors living on fixed incomes, and persons with disabilities. In 54 years of service, more than 100,000 people have come home to an Eden property. Since the organization's beginnings, Eden Housing has developed or acquired more than 11,037 affordable homes for low-income individuals and families, and currently owns 153 properties throughout California, with an additional 4,475 homes in the current development pipeline.

Eden Housing provides caring and professional property management services for a portfolio of 145 communities, integrating a focus on the physical integrity and fiscal stability of properties, the well-being of residents and the vitality of the neighborhoods and communities where Eden’s housing is located. The supportive programs and services promote the stability and economic mobility of individual and families who reside in Eden homes. More than 6,000 households participate annually in resident services programming that include financial literacy and coaching, technology access and training, job/career support, health and wellness, and youth after-school academic and enrichment programs. A large percentage of youth pursue higher education opportunities, many with the support of Eden scholarships.
