Community Housing Capital’s (CHC) in a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) whose mission is to provide equitable access to capital that is transformative for non-profit organizations and their economically disadvantaged communities. Our vision is to provide healthy, safe, vibrant, and inclusive communities where all individuals and families have the opportunity, resources, and economic means to live, work, learn, and thrive.

CHC originally specialized in early lending when it was formed in 2000. Over the past 24 years, its productions have expanded from pre-development lending to include construction and permanent lending, utilizing its membership in the FHLB of Atlanta to access long-term fixed rate capital. In 2020, it introduced and equity product to support homeownership - and it plans to pilot a preferred LIHTC product in the near future.

Since 2000, CHC’s investments have resulted in the creation and preservation of over 24,212 affordable homes. In 2023 alone, CHC financed 1,683 affordable units, serving 3,026 total end-beneficiaries from rural, low-income, minority, and financially or socially excluded communities.
