About AHC, Inc.
Established in 1975, AHC Inc. operates in Arlington, Virginia, and other parts of the greater Washington, DC - Baltimore area, including Baltimore, Maryland; Montgomery County, Maryland; Alexandria, Virginia, and Fairfax County, Virginia. In 2014, AHC acquired its first affordable housing property in Washington, DC partnering with Lincoln Westmoreland to refinance a 108-unit apartment building and build a new 56-unit multifamily property adjacent to it; this project was completed in 2016. Also in 2016, AHC partnered with a for-profit developer to acquire the 340-unit Lafayette Apartments in Fairfax. 2016 saw the complete renovation of the historic Woodbury Park Apartments, a 364-unit mixed-income rental community in Arlington. In early 2018, AHC completed construction of 93 apartments at the site of the former St. James United Methodist Church in Alexandria. Altogether, AHC's portfolio includes 53 properties with 7,262 units. Most properties are managed by AHC Management, a for-profit subsidiary of AHC. Resident Services are offered at 15 properties.
