David Satterthwaite joined Housing Partnership Network in May 2015 as Vice President of Philanthropic Equity. In this role, David collaborates closely with HPN's executive leadership to raise capital and grant funding to support member-driven social enterprises and expand HPN's impact investing portfolio.

David has spent much of his career as an entrepreneur and supporter of impact entrepreneurs, raising mission-driven capital within the microfinance and international economic development communities. Prior to HPN, he served as Deputy Director of the Private Sector Department at Oxfam America. David also founded and was CEO of Prisma MicroFinance, a retail financial services company operating in Central America, and was the founding Publisher and Editor of MicroCapital Monitor, a microfinance industry standard and leading trade publication. Additionally, David has worked at City Year, Babson College and consulted for the World Bank. He has also served as a board member and advisor for several nonprofit and for-profit social impact enterprises, including Agora Partnerships and Kiva.org.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Haverford College, and did graduate work in social economy at Boston College.
